Our Approach to Privacy
TickClip works for the shopper. That principle extends to personal information: we collect only what is reasonably needed to return useful verdicts, operate the service, keep it secure, and improve its reliability.
This policy applies to the TickClip website, AI assistant, public deal and verdict pages, accounts, and related features. We do not sell personal information.
Information We Collect
The information we process depends on how you use TickClip:
- Queries and product links. We process the questions, product descriptions, and retailer links you submit so we can analyze them and return a result.
- Conversation history. We keep the messages and generated responses needed to preserve context. Signed-out history is associated with an anonymous browser identifier; account history is associated with the signed-in profile.
- Account information. If you create an account, we may receive an email address, display name, profile image, authentication identifiers, and account preferences.
- Usage and device information. We may record pages viewed, feature interactions, outbound product clicks, timestamps, browser and device type, referring page, approximate region, and diagnostic information.
- Information you provide to us. This includes support requests, correction reports, feedback, and submitted product or promotional information.
Do not submit sensitive personal information in a shopping query or support message when it is not needed for the request.
Anonymous Use and Local Storage
You can use TickClip AI without creating an account. For anonymous use, TickClip creates an ownerless conversation and stores its identifier in your browser's local storage so the same browser can return to that conversation. The identifier is not intended to identify you in the real world.
If you later create an account, you may be able to claim the anonymous conversation and carry its history forward. Clearing browser storage removes the local reference to an unclaimed conversation and may prevent it from being restored.
How We Use Information
We use information to:
- Generate product verdicts, price intelligence, comparisons, and verified offer matches.
- Maintain conversations, accounts, preferences, and saved state.
- Operate, troubleshoot, secure, monitor, and improve TickClip.
- Measure result quality and identify stale, incomplete, or contradictory product data.
- Detect abuse, fraudulent submissions, invalid promotional codes, and attempts to disrupt the service.
- Respond to support, privacy, and legal requests.
- Comply with applicable law and enforce our agreements.
Where applicable law requires a legal basis, processing may rely on performing the service you requested, our legitimate interests in operating and securing TickClip, your consent, or compliance with legal obligations.
AI Processing and Service Providers
Questions and product information may be processed by TickClip's verdict systems and trusted AI, database, hosting, authentication, analytics, and infrastructure providers acting on our behalf. They receive only the information reasonably needed to provide their function and are subject to the agreements and technical settings we maintain with them.
AI-generated responses can be inaccurate. We use quality controls and structured product evidence, but you should avoid placing confidential or sensitive personal information in prompts.
Product details, prices, seller information, and offers can come from Amazon and other authorized catalog or data providers. Their independent services are governed by their own privacy notices.
Cookies and Similar Technologies
TickClip uses cookies and local storage for authentication, session continuity, anonymous conversations, preferences, security, and service measurement. Some storage is necessary for features such as staying signed in or restoring a conversation.
You can remove cookies or local storage through your browser settings. Doing so may sign you out, clear preferences, or disconnect an anonymous conversation from the browser.
How We Share Information
We do not sell personal information. We disclose information only when reasonably necessary:
- To service providers that operate infrastructure, authentication, AI processing, analytics, monitoring, communications, and security under our instructions.
- To a retailer when you choose to follow an outbound product link. The retailer then handles the visit under its own terms and privacy policy.
- To professional advisers, authorities, or other parties when required by law or reasonably necessary to protect users, TickClip, or the public.
- In connection with a merger, financing, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of assets, subject to appropriate confidentiality and notice where required.
TickClip does not sell placement or let sellers pay to change rankings, scores, or verdicts.
Data Retention
We retain information only for as long as it is reasonably needed for the purposes described here, including providing the service, preserving requested history, maintaining security records, resolving disputes, and meeting legal obligations.
Retention periods vary by data type. Account and conversation data may remain until you delete it or close the account, subject to backups, fraud-prevention records, and information we must retain by law. Anonymous browser identifiers remain useful only while the local reference and corresponding conversation exist.
Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or loss. Access is limited according to operational need, and service activity may be monitored for abuse and reliability.
No internet service or storage system is completely secure. Keep your sign-in method protected, use a secure device, and contact us if you believe an account or conversation has been compromised.
International Processing
TickClip and its providers may process information in countries other than the one where you live. Where required, we use appropriate contractual or legal safeguards for international transfers. Local privacy protections can differ between countries.
Children
TickClip is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from a child under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can review and remove it when appropriate.
Your Rights and Choices
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to, or receive a copy of personal information. You may also have the right to withdraw consent or complain to a local data-protection authority.
You can also:
- Use the public service without creating an account.
- Delete conversations or clear local browser storage.
- Change browser cookie and storage settings.
- Contact us to request account closure or exercise an applicable privacy right.
We may need to verify a request before acting on it. Some information may be retained when permitted or required by law.
Policy Changes
We may update this policy as TickClip, its providers, or legal requirements change. Material changes will be identified by an updated date and, when appropriate, an additional notice in the service.
